As a rough initial guide, solar panels need to be lifted so they have an angle of elevation above the horizon equal to the angle of latitude of that location. |

If in a second installation, the roof has a pitch (angle) of 3 degrees, how high above this roof would the end of the panel need to be lifted? Assume that the 3 degrees is measured in the line of the panels orientation. Q3. Do locations exists where a roof pitch of 3 degrees would be too great a slope for correct panel orientation?
